Saleen to reveal first EV in early 2014

High-performance US car maker Saleen is developing its first electric vehicle, with plans to reveal scale models of the car in early 2014. $300m a year to save Holden, Toyota and suppliers, says Carr: report

Shadow industry minister Kim Carr says the Federal Government has documents that reveal it would cost $300 million extra per year to secure the local manufacturing futures of Holden, Toyota and 160 parts makers to 2025, and less than half that to keep Holden’s manufacturing operations alive for the same length of time. Microsoft disrupts ZeroAccess web fraud botnet

Elton John Russia gigs 'will go ahead' say organisers

Russian promoters have insisted two Elton John shows "will go ahead as planned" despite concerns over the country's crackdown on gay rights. Autumn Statement: UK growth 'hides disappointing news'

Higher UK growth forecasts "hide some more disappointing news for the chancellor", warns the Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS). British film culture test to change

The cultural test which determines whether a film can qualify as a British production is set to be changed under new legislation.
